Butter Cream Icing

1 lb. confectioners sugar

5 T. butter

1/2 c. shortening

1/2 t. salt

1/2 t. vanilla

2 1/2 T. milk powder

1/4 – 1/2 c. water

Add all ingredients together alternating with water. Mix, scrape, mix, scrape. Do not make icing too wet. Whip until fluffy.

This recipe came from Mom in 1980.
